Canto de Luz is is located in a beautiful restored Merchant’s townhouse, right next to the square of Porto town hall. Behind the traditional tiled façade is a modern architectural gem – property is filled with custom-made furniture, original art, premium appliances and fun gadgets.
Canto de Luz is located at the very heart of the city, minutes of walk away from Avenida dos Aliados, Torre dos Clérigos, Rua das Flores, Ribeira and the riverfront. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bike rental and Vinotecas (traditional wine shops) are also next door.

Available for exclusive rental, the townhouse offers 8 spacious suites with panoramic windows overlooking the cobbled street or the garden. Optionally Villa Almada our 2 bedroom private villa with pool can be added to the rental – perfect for the guests of honour or happy couple. The Main Maison sleeps 14 in Superking Double or Twin Beds and 4 in two Double Beds. We also have a range of single and double sofa beds to accommodate up to 28 guests and 3 infants.
The main Maison kitchen is NOT available to guests due to Portuguese health authority rules, but there are 2 kitchens in the Retreat Suites in the Maison and one in the Villa which can be used to prepare light meals. Our Private chef is also available to cater for your group for lunches and dinners on request.
Our breakfasts have become a part of Porto’s folklore – they change daily according to the season and produce available in our local markets – always homemade with love.

Rita, Mario and Francisco were especially helpful, with info on things to do and tips on how to get places. The breakfast is excellent and the beds were divine.
